A Layered Distributed Simulation Architecture to Support the C2 Enterprise
نویسندگان
چکیده
Modelling and simulation can be applied to support Joint Command and Control which involves the interoperability of network-centric systems as well as legacy command and control systems. It is assumed that software will always be the glue between these systems and that a capability is required to demonstrate, support and evaluate interoperability. This paper discusses the layered software architecture of a C++ software application framework for developing applications that support the Command and Control Enterprise. The framework provides for both interoperability and modelling and simulation – the modelling and simulation features of the framework can provide for key interoperability support capabilities that would otherwise not exist. Applications that have been built using the framework are also described.

A Reference Architecture for Automation of Inter-Organizational Process-Oriented Collaboration
In today’s competitive, dynamic, and changing business environment, being able to collaborate globally within and beyond the enterprise borders is critical. Inter-Organizational Collaborations (IOCs) have been proposed as a response to the characteristics of highly competitive global business environments. So far, a number of reference models, frameworks, and ad hoc architectures related to som...
متن کامل1 Simulation - based Command and Control Applications in a Service - Oriented , Cloud Computing Environment
Modeling and Simulation (M&S) technologies have matured suitably to provide real time tactical utility to warfighting Command and Control (C2) computer system users, but C2 systems adoption of M&S in their native applications has been slow for design, acceptance, computing and procurement reasons. While extensive work has been done with simulation based planning, execution monitoring, logistics...
متن کاملA Component-based Framework for Distributed Business Simulations in E-Business Environments
Simulations preserve the knowledge of complex dynamic systems and consequently transfer the knowledge of the cohesions of its elements to a specified target group. As the progress in information technology and therefore the dynamic e-business driven economy adapts even faster to the business demands, new ways to preserve this growing amount of knowledge have to be found. This paper presents an ...

متن کاملA Self-organizing Architecture for Traffic Management
In this paper we discuss the use of self-organizing architectures for traffic management systems. We introduce Soteria, a multi-layered, integrated, super-infrastructure for traffic safety enhancement and congestion reduction. We highlight Soteria’s use of microand macro-level models and its hybrid top-down/bottom-up strategy for traffic management. We then present a generic architecture that c...
